Cabela's versatile Shad Darts dare and provoke fish to strike.
The bucktail design of the tail is tapered from the front to the back to create
lifelike movement. Originally developed as a shad jig, fishermen quickly
embraced our shad dart and expanded its use to other species. The wide,
flattened shape of the head gives the lure a darting and erratic action in
the water to appeal to stripers, white bass and other game fish. Per 12. Sizes: 1/16 oz., 1/8 oz., 1/4 oz., 3/8 oz. Colors:

Cabelas Shad Darts,July 7, 2009
By mtglfrom WI
"I fish mainly in Northern Wisconsin and I am mainly a jig fisherman. The Cabelas Shad Dart is one of three jigs I use. I mainly use them for cappies, but will also use them to fish smallies. I tip them with either a minnow (early season) or a crawler (summer). They always produce for me. I have several fishing buddies also using them now. I do most of my shopping for fishing gear on line with Cabelas. I find some of the Cabelas branded products to be so-so quality. However, I think the Shad Dart is a very high qualiry jig that produces fish after fish."

"Great looking jig built right. I have used them on Hybrids in NW Oklahoma. They seem to hold up great and have a decent hook in them."

Walleye Bait,May 11, 2009
By Robcarfrom Snow belt of Northwest Pennsylvania
"Cabela's Shad Dart is an excellent bait for Walleye. We troll slowly with the Shad Dart in about 12 foot of water. We have had great results. You can also jigg with them. Most of our fishing is done in Quebec, Canada. The Shad Dart has been very successful for us, both the 1/4oz. and the 1/2oz."

great addition!,July 7, 2008
By schmaak03from Heathsville, VA
"I use these as an addition to the rear of a tandem bucktail rig. The smaller 1/8 and 1/4 oz. are great behind a 1 oz. jig. The striped bass in the Chesapeake Bay love them! Catching two at a time is so much fun. The only thing I would change is the type of hook used. The stripers don't take long to straighten the hook out. I know it's meant for shad but the action and colors are hard to resist."

"Went fishing on a stretch of The big Gunpowder Falls and was catchin a few small perch. an older man comes down and hands me two of the red and white shad darts and tells me to try them. went about an hour didnt catch much of anything and then all of a sudden WHAM! a huge hit and it turned out to be a Largemouth Bass. most people iv talked to say they dont even exist in the falls but i caught one thanks to these."

Have used these baits for years.,January 19, 2007
By Shadfishermanfrom New Bern, NC
"Was first introduced to these baits by young man on Tar River, NC. We had fished all day without a single stirke. He came to dock with full limit. Asked what he had been using. Showed me the florecent orange dart in 1/8th oz. Said he and his father had used them for years. Tried them the next year- they have be become famous with my friends and those that watch us catch fish. Remarkable bait for Hickory Shad."
