Fish love to take a bite out of these soft Northland
Gum-Drop Floaters. Gum-drop floating jigs are made with soft foam molded over a needle-point Mustad hook and coated with pliable rubber paint to entice game

Gum Drop Floaters for trolling,October 20, 2009
By NELunkerFinderfrom Nebraska
"Worked well on a recent central-Nebraska trip for trolling in depths between 7-25 ft., both in the chartreuse and red colors. Tipped with a nightcrawler. Caught walleye, white bass, freshwater drum, carp and perch. Only negative was the durability of the trailer hook/line, which broke off on a fairly minor fight. The main body/hook did still work well on it's own."

these little babies,July 6, 2009
By oldFishslayerfrom Jersey Shore
"These little babies work great but don't tell anyone. Although most use them for fresh water, I have found a great use for them in the salty sea."

gum drop floaters,September 18, 2008
By MisterWonderfulfrom Calgary Alberta Canada
"These are my go to lure for walleye. When lindy rigged with a 4-6 ft leader and tipped with a leech, it just flat out works for me when fishing for walleye. I always have at least a hundred on hand with different sizes and colours. If I can only pick one lure for fishing walleye here it would be this lure hands down."

Northland Gum Drop Floaters,March 17, 2008
By Bessemer61from Bessemer, MI
"My go-to Canadian lure for late May/early June, fished as a rig with a slip-sinker and barrel swivel, and tipped with a minnow or leech. Can be trolled or still-fished. The buoyancy of these floaters far exceeds the cork-based floating jigheads, so these floaters can be still-fished with great success. Until I run out of my supply of Gum Drops, I hardly ever use anything else! In current areas, you can also tip these floaters with a Gulp! product and the results are outstanding!"

Gum drop is a true walleye killer,June 18, 2007
By GregWTfrom Missouri
"Fished on Little Bay De Noc just off Lake Michigan in Escanaba Michigan and gum drops were the key. We consistantly caught Walleye day in/day out. It was a great experience that paid great dividends. I recommend the gum drop floater to everyone interested in fishing for Walleye--especially up there."

Gum Drop Floaters,April 16, 2007
By walleyewillyfrom Pennsylvania
"These really work great drifting for walleye using a live night craweler or leech. Sometimes use a minnow, but worms and leeches is where I have and the most success. Chartreuse and Blaze Orange are my favorites."

Excellent for late spring walleye,November 21, 2006
By jmthomfrom South Dakota
"We only had one walleye in the boat when I decided to try the gum drop floater. I fished it about 18" off the bottom with a heavy weight, a minnow and a stinger hook, pulling it at varying speeds (1-4 mph), and I filled the livewell within two hours. My husband and the other two couples that were with us in other boats told me that I was doing it "wrong", but they quieted down after I started catching fish! I was the only one that caught my limit (and my husband's limit) that day, and the next day my husband tried it, and within two hours, we both had our limit. Needless to say, we stocked up on the gumdrop floaters with the stinger hook, and they were our staple hook for the entire late spring season.
The one flaw I do see in them is that they do not hold up very well, so they do have to be replaced fairly often."
