So Far So Good,November 3, 2009
By CharterBoatCaptainfrom Maui
"Received my order quickly and so far very pleased with the jackets. I operate a commercial charter boat in Hawaii and provide foul weather jackets for my passengers when we get into heavier seas and get spray on the boat from cross winds. I have had many different types of jackets in the past and all of them seem to only last about 8 to 10 months before they start falling apart at the seams, literally. So far these jackets have stood up to the challenge and show no signs of wear. They are the perfect weight for our warm weather in Hawaii year round. The don't breath at all which can be stuffy if you're just sitting in the sun not underway but that's not what I need them for. They are definately 100% water PROOF, not water resistant, water PROOF! I have only had them about a month but they still look brand spanking new. I will let you know in another few months how they are holding up but I believe these will be the best jackets I have tried yet, I foresee them lasting well over a year if not longer. They are put to much more use than the average user will ever have so I would definnately recommend them to anyone wanting a super dry, roomy fit. Little stiff out of the box new but a couple uses and they break right in. No pockets which I like because people don't stuff them full of stuff that I have to clean out all the time and buttons are way better than zippers, zippers get corroded by salt water and stop working rather quickly so buttons are the only way to go. Keep up the good workmanship Cabela's."

Great Parka,October 13, 2009
By Workbigfrom Freehold, New Jersey
"I Used this parka along with the matching bibs. It's a great parka and has plenty of room I am 6'2" 250 Lbs. And there is plenty of room. The only down side would be the lack of neoprene wrist cuffs. All in all I am happy with the parka and hope to use it for many years to come."

Nice and keeps you dry,September 25, 2009
By johnnybighit13from Twin Cities Minnesota
"Yes, it's like wearing a hard plastic coat but it keeps the wind and rain out. If you are picky about how stiff a jacket is, then this is not for you. It's pretty stiff. If you're looking for a flexible coat, look for a fabric with a water repellant on it. This coat is like wearing rubber plastic. Stiffer and heavier. Does it do it's job? YES! The snaps are solid and close nicely. 3X is good for someone who wants to wear layers underneath or a winter coat to keep warm. This thing does repel water and wind. It has nice Valcro straps at the end of the arms too to tighten up the hand openings."

Rain Parka,August 10, 2009
By Gman85from Fredericksburg, VA
"Just returned from a 10 day fishing trip to Alaska. The Parka and bibs worked great. The material is very waterproof but stiff. The suit worked great for Halibut fishing. Not allot of moving around. Rained most days and kept me dry! The only real disappointment I had with the Parka was that it did not have any pockets! Other than that, I would recommend for the price!... Gman"

By LaFishermanfrom GV, Arizona
"Overall appears to be very good quality for the price. We are planning a halibut trip next week and will use it then if needed. A bit heavy, but would rather have durabitity that a cheap piece of stuff. Can't fathom that it wouldn't keep me dry!"

Dry is good!,August 3, 2009
By VirginiaGalfrom Warrenton, VA
"So, it's heavier than the little cheap plastic jobs, and way better constructed. And it's maybe not as full-featured as some. I would love some pockets. Big ones. But, this coat is well made, and when it rains, it actually keeps me dry! Unlike some very expensive rainwear I have owned. For the money, a really great product!"

"Would give 4.5 stars to this, few minor things, the cuffs catch line if fishing, not enough pockets, could do with being a litttle softer material but overall I am very pleased."

It will keep you dry!!!,June 12, 2009
By rademarpfrom finger lakes, ny
"I just got back from a northern Quebec fihsing trip. It rained and/or snowed 7 out of 8 days. It was 15-25mph wind 6 out of 8 days. I wore the parka and bibs everyday and was never cold or wet. The only change I would make is having a pocket on the coat. (minor detail) Bottom line it will keep you dry in the harshest conditions."

"This parka used with the matching bibs saved an entire day of spring pike fishing. They are quality constructed of heavy duty pvc which allowed them to double as a great wind break with out concern of tearing. Highly recommended for cool to cold weather use!"

Well built, yes built, thats how thick these are..,April 8, 2009
By venisonchewerfrom Staten Island, NY
"If you're looking for HEAVY DUTY rain gear that will last a few years of regular use, then here it is, I've had many sets of cheaper, thinner rain gear that tear, these have nice velcro wrist straps that comform so you dont have the sleeve falling over your hands, heavy duty snaps that are easy to use, and no zipper to break, consider them "marine grade use." Best rain parka I've ever owned, without spending a ridiculous price."
