Nite Ize Figure 9 Rope Tightener with Rope

This clever belaying device works two ways to instantly and easily secure a line and quickly release it. It can be secured to the tag end or anywhere along the length of rope. Made of strong aluminum with instructions for use laser engraved. Perfect for securing loads or staking out a tent or tarp. Imported.

  • Figure 9 Small: Includes two Figure 9 rope tighteners each with 6 ft. of 3/16" nylon rope. Load limit 50 lbs.
  • Figure 9 Large: Includes one Figure 9 rope tightener with 10 ft. of 1/4" nylon rope. Load limit 150 lbs.

    Picked one of these up on a recent trip to Maine on a white water rafting trip. Worked extremely well on holding down all sorts of gear on a class 4 rapids run.
    Works pretty good when hanging your pack from a tree on over night hikes. I usually find a low branch and hook the "toothed" end to it but wrapping it around the trunk works best.
    I would highly recommend this little gadget and an extra 50' or so of rope for any adventure you have in store. you never know when you'll need it ;-)

    when i got my figure 9 tightners, they looked flimsey and not worth the metal.
    WOW i used 2 of them the next day to secure 2 40' javalinas to my ATV, 3 miles of bumps and Creosote Bushs later they hadent moved.
    no knots makes a 3 handed job so much better.
    only 4 stars because they come with a useless length of rope #3'#
