Cabela’s expert staff gave careful thought to every aspect of its construction - you can be confident you’re getting the most for your dollar. The 5"-diameter chimney pipe is offset for more cooking space, and when assembled is more than 10-ft. tall. 5" chimney damper included. Safety features include a wire-mesh spark arrester and a fire grate in the bottom to protect the base from overheating. Door damper regulates stove temperature. Adjustable legs permit setup on uneven ground. Two warming trays included. All components fit into the stove’s body for a 72-lb. total package. 10-gauge-steel top and door; the rest is 12-gauge steel. For 10-ft. x 12-ft. to 14-ft. x 16-ft. tents.

Great Stove for the $

I just bought this stove andtook it out this week and used it...I followed review suggestions...and pre-burned the stove at home before using it (good idea) and prescrewed the pipe sections together. Got to camp didn't take long to setup, didnt screw it together after all because there was No wind. Got a fire going and it heated up our canvas range tent so warm we were in our underware before too long. Only thing is you have to play around with the damper and door vents to achieve the right slow burn...some good hard wood helps... Great addition to my gear.

Wall Tent Stove

Very easy to set up, make sure and burn it good and hot before you put it in your tent the first time. I did not burn mine long enough and had some paint smell for a half hour. Kept my Bighorn III tent toasty during my late season elk hunt in the cascade mountains first night was -2 and the whole week was very cold. GREAT STOVE!!

Purchased this stove to use with 12x20 Alaknak tent. Temps were low 40's to upper 20's first week and mid 30's to low 20's second week. Stove did an excellent job of heating up this size tent quickly but maintaining a consistent steady burn was difficult. Could not find a combination of flue damper and air intake to achieve a fire longer than 2 to 2-1/2 hours. With the size of the fire box it is easy to overload it and glowing stack pipe is not comforting to see at night. Close all the dampers and it stops fast. Tent gasket takes more heat than I wanted to test it too. Practice and season the stove at home in the driveway before using in the tent. Paint will season and galvanized stack will discolor. Use a sheet metal crimp tool to lengthen the crimp and the pipe will engage deeper to help steady them or give more room to drill them. I thought of drilling a hole completely through and using a spike to keep the stack sections outside the tent from tilting in high wind. If you purchase the 5" deluxe rain cap an adapter is needed to fit the cap because of increasing stack diameter of each piece, about a 6" to 5" reducer. A 6" or smaller chimney brush with one rod will maintain the soot in the pipe and cap. Overall an excellent match to this size tent just learn the quirks of its operation with the quality of wood you will have available and enjoy.

Bought this stove to use in a 12x12 Alaknak tent that i purchased last year. Used propane to heat the tent last year and had condensation problems, well no more. The wood stove eliminated the condensation issue. The Stove fit well in the Alaknak and the pipe had no problem fitting through the stove jack, but was a bit snug. My only real issues with the stove are that there is very little lip to hold the stove pipe to the stove as the pipe fits down into the stove and it is difficult to drill a hole inside the stove to use a screw to hold it in place. I was concerned that if the wind got the tent to flapping it would pull the stove pipe out of the stove. I built a bracket that fastened to the stove and the first section of pipe to make sure that did not happen. Second issue is the door is not airtight, no real big deal, but it made the stove more difficult to control. Could not really achieve that real slow burn. But the Stove heats up fast and warms the tent real well. The way everything packs together is very convenient. We used screws to secure each section of pipe together and bought a standard 6 inch china cap cover and used the material of the stock spark arrestor to turn the china cap into a spark arrestor. No the china cap did not fit over the pipe as the nesting pipe is slightly oversized, But I found that with a little effort the base of the China cap would fit inside the last section of pipe.
