Cabela's Outfitter Series™ XWT Dry-Set™ Pitch Kit

With the handy Dry-Set™ Pitch Kit you can set up your Outfitter XWT in a driving rain or snow storm without ever exposing your tent's body to the elements. Simply (1) stake down the 210-denier oxford nylon ground sheet and secure the frame. Pull (2) the fly over the frame and clip into place. Then (3) climb inside the fly and hang and attach your tent body. Imported.

A XWT tent must!

If you are going to buy the XWT tent you must buy this to go with it. Without the kit set up of the tent will be difficult at the least. With the kit you can let the fly and poles stand by itself and dry while you pack the rest of your gear away. It should be included with the tent and not an option. It is that important! The kit is just basically a floor with hooks on the corners to hold the poles in position while you hang the tent.

I purchased this when I purchased my 12X12 XWT. I used to fight finding the correct size tarp for my tents and trying to keep them in place while I set up. That is no more. It is very well built and makes set up easier as well. It cleans up in minutes and dries almost as fast. On my 1st time out with the XWT we had two out of the seven days where we had heavy T-Storms wind and almost 2" of rain on each of those 2 days. The floor of my XWT stayed bone dry (Inside and out). If you are going to spend the money on an excellent tent you might as well spend a little more and have an excellent ground cloth to protect it.

XWT 12' x 12' Pitch Kit

This accessory is a must rain or shine. Using it keeps the tent clean and protected, and aids in locating and preping a site to place tent w/o having to drag the tent itself around. I have even used the Pitch Kit with tent fly only as a shelter for sporting/outdoor events, single night camping, and a cooking/dining tent. I too think the item is a little over priced.
