    Water tank & Shelf
    Date:
Water tank is great for heating water for face and hand washing. Faucet though could use a different gasket design as any over-tightening of shipped o-ring created leaking condition. Shelf was great for keeping coffee hot.

I purchased the water tank for our outfitters stove. We recently used it for the first time in our hunt in Wyoming. Not sure if the it was the altitude, or what but it leaked where we had the spicket. Seemed like the hotter it became the more it leaked. I am still glad we had it, but we ended up just using a pan on top of stove, less messy.

    Needs Some Work
    Date:
The back of the lid has a gap and dirt can get into the water, so its use as a potable source should be avoided. Also, the o-ring gasket tends to slip out when it gets hot (resulting in a constant dripping of water). I would suggest replacing it with a flat hose washer.
Bottom line: it has its uses, but it still needs some work for it to meet its potential.

Outfitter stove water tank and side shelf
    Date:
Both the water tank and side shelf were ordered for my existing stove, and both are well made products for the money. Stainless steel construction is the only way to go if you want to be able to clean these type items up after the trip. I would recommend both products with out reservation. So why 4 stars only? Well I am still a rather picky fellow, and would have liked two changes. On the shelf the two side legs are ridgid, this is not a big deal as the shelf can still be packed inside the stove. But if I were making this item, (I make similar metal fab projects for myself), I would have made the legs fold down flat similar to the side shelf on a rolling toolbox. Just easier to pack and less likely to bend the legs, requiring straigtening in the boonies. On the water tank the description does not indicate that the whole top hinges open, but also not a big deal. I would have liked a latch of some type to hold the lid closed, that's all. I do like that the faucet can easily be removed and store securely inside the tank for easy packing in the stove.
So why did I buy these instead of make them myself? Cost was the sole determining factor. It would cost more in material and labor to make similar products. So both the shelf and water tank are excellent value for the money. I would recommend both highly.
