This net release works great.Securly holds net in place out of the way until needed.Easily releases with a slight tug.The only downside is that it takes two hands to reattach the net release.

Arrived with one snap broken - un-usable. Do not live close to a Cabela's so have not yet attempted to return it.

I bought one of these many years ago and it was spotted by an Autralian fishing with me once. He was so impressed with it he could not leave without it. I reluctantly parted with it. I went back to the magnetic alternative and each time it released from a bush hooking on the net, I relived the regret. Just had to replace it. Simple and firm hold. Works for me, and an Australian as well.

I've used one of these products for years and have found it to be easy and convenient to install and use on the water. I did however make a small modification which I believe improved the product's functionality. The clipping mechanism, as it comes from the package, is a bit too tight. I found that filing the locking mechanism just a bit made it easier to disengage the net when needed and I have never had it come undone at any other time.
