Cabela's Split-Willow Creel

This is truly a quality constructed creel of authentic split willow that offers thorough ventilation, keeping fish fresh while you seek out another keeper. Add a loose layer of green grass on the bottom of this creel and you have the best there is. The split willow makes it extremely lightweight and it's formed to comfortably fit your hip. With the adjustable shoulder strap this creel can be raised or lowered to your specifications.

This is a nice update of the classic creel design. I like the nylon even though it losses the nostalgia of leather. No worries about storing after soaking in a stream.

Cabela was a household word at our house for more than 50 years. My husband was a fly fisherman who tied his own flies, even made his own rods. I painted as he fished -- it was happier that way. Fifteen years ago, he died. Recently I relocated a painting of Bennett Springs, MO to the wall by the front door. My Cabela creel hangs beneath the painting (outfitted with cup hooks inside to hold keys & sunglasses). The old creel is long gone, but Cabela's replacement adds to sweet memories of my fly fisherman. Thanks.

i have always been amazed at quality of my purchases here, however icannot say the same for this item. Didnt pay much too should not expect too much. Picture flatters the product.
