This creel is so well made and replicates creels of long ago. Once used and weathered it makes a real statement about the "fisherman" of the house who takes pride in using the "best" equipment! (Looks great on the wall too!)

The willow creel is roomy and just right --the only thing that I would suggest is to make the over shoulder strap a bit longer to make it more comfortable with a person who is tall in the upper torso--other then that it is a good item

I bought this creel for actual use . One day I actually had it loaded for a couple hours with 3 nice Bass (16", 18", 20"). Had to stick the tail of the third fish out the hole to get the top latched down. All in all it held up quite well. With the use I've put it through the only let down has been one of the willow hinges for the cover broke the first day out. That was quickly resolved with a piece of nylon rope. Beyond that I'd have to say I'ts done its job quite nicely, and has been far nicer than having a stringer dangling betwen your legs all day. I like fishing smallies in the rivers (wade fishing). Since I've included a fly rod in my inventory hopefully I'll get a few nice trout in this creel as well.
