  • Bit driver with four bits

Skeletool – Weighing in at a mere 5 oz., this ultralightweight, bare-bones multitool is equipped with all the tools you need. The stainless steel 420HC drop-point blade is enhanced with a straight/serrated edge for chewing through wood and bone with ease. Also has wire cutters, pliers, bit driver (includes four bits) and carabiner/bottle opener. A removable pocket clip allows you to clip it onto a belt, pack or vest.
Skeletool CX – Faster, sharper, stronger – it boasts the same do-tough-jobs-with-less bravado and all the features of the Skeletool, but is forged with abrasion-resistant Tungsten DLC-coated stainless steel, to reduce its coefficient of friction by half, and ultralightweight and resilient carbon fiber. It also has a premium 154CM drop-point fine-edge blade. Fold-out pliers merge the best aspects of needle-nose and regular pliers. Pliers include wire and hard-wire cutters. A universal bit driver tips the ergonomic handle; bit storage and a carabiner/bottle opener integrated into the opposing handle. Removable pocket clip good for around-town wear. Selected as a "Gear of the Year" award winner by "National Geographic Adventure" magazine.

Good Quality & Great Company
Date:
I have owned my Skeletool for a few years now. Uses ranging from on the water to under the bathroom sink. In my case, this multi tool has just the basic functions I need to solve everday occurrences. In the open position it is solid yet has a comfortable fit in the palm. The locking knife is of strong quality and never have to worry about it closing on you. The driver bits (in my opinion) is what sets Leatherman apart from the others. When in use you never have the feeling of cheap material. Only issue I've had with this tool was the misalignment of the pliers which caused them to stick when opening and closing. But since Leatherman is a stand out company and backs their products with an insane 25 year warranty, I was able to have my skeletool fixed and have the philips bit I lost replaced. I Highly recommend any Leatherman product!

Perfect Balance
Date:
All I ever used on my Supertool 200 that had to be carried in it's pouch on my belt was the knife, pliers and screwdrivers. But I also carried a pocket knife for quick access to a knife and I was getting tired of carrying multiple tools. The Skeletool solved that problem. It's got all of the tools I need yet is small enough to carry with it's pocket clip and the knife being accessed from the outside is the best. I only rated it a 4 because although the knife is extremely sharp I can't keep an edge on it very long. But I've sent it to Leatherman and they take care of it every time.

Leatherman is always imitated but never equaled
Date:
Just got the Leatherman Skeletool CX and as usual many will imitate Leatherman but seldom equaled Leatherman. I like this multi-tool as it is light and small enough to not be noticable when carring it. The blade is super sharp and accessed without opening the pliers which is a must for me in a multi-tool. People who have complained about breaking pliers are abusing the pliers by twisting them which pliers were never made to do especially when in this lightweight size. I have not had any problems with loose extra screwdriver bits either which seems to have been corrected by my model. Leatherman will always take care of its customers if I ever have any problems as I have found out from previous experience. Leathermans has excellent customer service unmatched by today standards. If kept oiled and cleaned it will last a lifetime if you don't lose it. Another great product Leatherman.
