I received this tool as a gift about two years ago. So far the tool has performed well. However, I often find myself reaching for my swiss army knife instead of this tool. I find that 'pound for pound'(more like 'ounce for ounce') my swiss army knife is more versatile and has more features in the same size package. While the leatherman is a little more 'heavy duty' in comparison to a swiss army knife due to it's heavy duty pliers and thicker blade than, I just feel that It takes up a lot of space in pocket for something that only has a handful of tools on it. However if heavier duty pliers are a must for your everyday carry, this tool is worth checking out.
When I seen this tool in the store in its Blisterpack I thought I had found the answer to my problems of always "no matter what carrying a knife" and when wearing a belt having a leatherman on my side. This tool has a great concept but feels really cheap. The knife blade feels like if you put any pressure on it at all it will just fall off. There is only a washer holding it on one side with a torx style screw. I would return it to Cabelas but the packaging tore up pretty bad upon opening.
