Good quality, questionable design features
Date:
I've had Gerber Multitools for about ten years now and love the living daylights out of them, they're like a third hand. I bought this one after losing the last faithful model and I really like some features and am really disappointed by some others.
What I like:
-Accessories that open to the outside without having to open the pliers
-Good positive lock mechanism that also helps kick out the blade you're looking for
-Extremely high quality steel and good edges on all the cutting implements.
-Pliers deploy with a quick flick but don't completely lock*
What I don't like:
-*Pliers have a lock that requires you to open the handle all the way after deploying, otherwise the jaws won't fully clamp down.
-Pliers are a lot shorter than old designs, require handle to open further, don't feel as handy.
-Pinch design for the side-cutters on the pliers makes them basically useless (need to go back to the scissor style)
-Scissors have blades that are about twice as long as the old design. This makes the outer half inch useless for cutting and they're a lot clumsier because of their length.
In short, I'm not very thrilled about the two implements I use the most. I think I'm going to have a go at another model. This time though I'm going to the store to thoroughly check everything out before I buy rather than be disappointed by something I receive online.

Gerber Flik Multitool
Date:
Baught a Gerber Flik Multitool about 10 months ago, over all it is a Good tool. The only problem that I've had is that one of the flat blade screw drivers broke when trying to tighten a screw. Other than that it is great.

Very smooth functionality
Date:
The Gerber Flik Multi-tool was a great purchase. I am very happy with the product. The ease of use to get the pliers out with only one hand is really smooth. Getting the screw driver bits out is a little more difficult but I haven't had to use them yet.. A++ product.
