disaster
Date:
Go for the cheap spreader, this thing is trouble. Will not fit the rack on my Honda Rubicon, The lever for opening the feed is a real Rub-Goldburg setup and binds all the time, there is no agitator so expect clumping, directions have no diagrams or pictures to help with the crazy feed lever installation, I am SO DISAPPOINTED.

one tough machine
Date:
Just received my new Fimco spreader yesterday. Was I ever surprised. This thing is built like a Sherman tank. It's very well constructed.of heavy duty steel--no flimsey easy to bend sheet metal. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but i'm sure I'll be just as well satisfied with it's performance. This is the only spreader I could find that has an agitater to keep fine light seed flowing through the seed gate.It also fits on my Honda Foreman like a glove-very tight and solid.---To make a long story short--I love it !!!!.Kentucky

Solid and Fast
Date:
This spreader is heavy which means UPS will bang it around in shipping. The bar to control the flow gate and the set screws on the spinner plate all needed repairs when it got to me. It comes almost entirely assembled which is a good thing because this is no simple device. It will spread lime/fertilizer/seed fast or slow however you prefer. It will throw it 20' to the left-right-both whatever you want. You will need to construct a sheild as the material will ricochet off one of the support bars and shower you with bits of whatever you're spreading. I fixed it by stuffing a bag between the bars. With the gate wide open you can spread a 40lb bag of lime in about a minute. The hitch attachment is well worth it you have a Polaris. Those U-bolts are a pain for the Polaris racks, especially if you have the rails on your ATV. With the 2" hitch attachment it will wobble a bit but you can fix that easy with a ratchet strap or bungee. It is extremely well made - if the motor holds up over time then it will be worth the money.
