Daiwa M-One Plus Mooching Reel

An upgrade of the classic M-One reel with a massive, seven-disc drag for greater fish-stopping performance and better heat dissipation. The simple, straightforward mechanism gives it the ultimate, reliable performance to handle large fish in virtually any water conditions. One-way power drag system lets you wind forward without fighting drag resistance and automatically shifts into smooth, fish-controlling drag as line is pulled from the reel. Tough, yet lightweight graphite body and spool. The stainless outer ring on the spool is titanium-nitride coated to resist scratching and cutting. Exposed rim control lets you manually apply extra tension when needed. Soft touch grips. Right- or left-hand retrieve.
Capacity: 660 yards of 17 lb. test line.

Excellent reel with good quality feel. Changing over to left handed is a little harder then the directions would leave you to believe but overall worth the price.

I needed a new reel for my copper line and this reel fits the need. I should say a line counter would be handy to tell the depth at which you're trolling. It works fine and helps catch fish. So what can be wrong with a purchase like this reel.

I bought this reel with the intention of using it when worm fishing for salmon here in the UK.
Turns out it's somewhat heavier than I envisioned, so it'll be put to use for boat fishing in the Irish Sea.
It is well made, smooth running & has a really progressive one way drag(reversible for LH users like myself) which should make it fun for tope(small sharks up to 60lbs) & ray fishing.
