My favorite line any type of fresh water fishing

I have always purchased expensive line for my rods, but few months ago I overheard two guys talking about Maxima Ultragreen and I went on numerous forums to see what people have to say about it and I decided to make a big jump and buy a service spool instead of buying 200-300 yard spools, and let me tell you for the price per yard this line is simply amazing. It is hard to believe but ever since I switched to this line I have not lost a single fish due to line breaking. I put this line on 4 of my rods and pulled fish as big as 30 inch steelhead and pike. Line seems very dark on the spool but when you cast it in water it becomes invisible. If you fish in places where your bait gets snagged a lot then I would suggest using 8lb or higher but 6 lb casts much better. Let me just say it: I am sold on Maxima Ultragreen.

i first bought the service spool of maxima utlragreen a few years ago when trying to teach my lady how to use a baitcaster. we are avid steelhead fishermen on the salmon river in Idaho. i was very impressed with the lines strength and durability. we fish fast rocky water and cast hundreds of time each trip. i had tried all kinds of lines trying to decide which would be best for us in these conditions. the maxima was by far the best and have since purchased another service spool of the ultragreen. the service spool is nice not only for the dollars saved in buying the big spool, but making sure that i always have enough line as the nearest store to where we fish is about 40 miles and no one wants to waste daylight hours of fishing to go to town to buy gear.

I have been using Maxima for 7-10 years now and have not been dissapointed with it during that whole time. I mostly bass fish with the 15 and 20 lb stuff but bet the smaller weights are good as well. Great casting with good abrasion resistance. I use the 15 for crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and anything else where I want to make long casts. The 20 I use to Jig fish and soft plastics to better survive the hooksets. The only problem I have with Maxima is it will set up some memory but being mono when you fish it a bit, it will straighten when it absorbs a little water. I have also fished the twenty lb. for sockeye and coho in alaska and was equally impressed. Great quality line, German made I believe.

Great Line For Trolling

I use the 10# Ultagreen trolling for big lake Huron walleyes. It has low memory, great knot stength and very stong.
