    Trilene xt green is a tough durable line that may fray a little in the rocks , but still holds its strength quite well. Have used it for steelhead to pike fishing for the last 20 years with great confidence. Oh yeah its reasonably priced too!

    I have caught a 19 pound fresh steelhead on 10 lb Berkley Trilene XT, from shore, with jagged rocks to get the fish through. For its strength, resistance to nicks and abrasion, and the diameter for the pounds in test you get, it is the best all around line available. I use nothing but the 10 lb for all of my own steelhead fishing. 15 or 20 lb for salmon is all you'll ever need for your main line.
    I've never lost a fish due to mere line breakage while using this product.
    The green color makes it invisible to the fish.
