Ande Premium Monofilament - Green 1-lb.

This medium-soft mono has a diameter as small or smaller than comparable monos, but retains excellent tensile and knot strength. This smaller diameter enables your lures to track deeper, with less drag and cast much farther. And the low memory prevents those tangles and loops that always seem to show up when the action is hot.

Heavy Mono for Big Fish
Date:
I took this 80lb mono line down to fish a tributary of the Amazon in Brazil last November. The results? A 100lb Jau catfish, followed later that day by an 80lb Jau! Thank goodness I had the heavy line-worked like a charm!

Ande Green line
Date:
I have been using Ande Green for many years now and I use as light a line as I can get by with. I use 12 # for bass rod rock cod fishing and when my jig hangs up on the bottom, I have a hard time breaking it off to get free. I have never lost a fish to a broken line---------never-------- unbuttoned a few, but never broken off. That is quite a statement. I was in Mexico on a multi day trip about a year ago and hooked into a very large Yellowtail and I thought I was going to loose it to the rocks on the bottom, but after he turned back from it's first long run, about 200 yards or more, it went to the bottom and stopped. I pulled for over 15 minutes as hard as I could, and the deck hand did also for a few minutes, it finally came free and I reeled up a skelleton of the fish, a 50# plus class yellowtail. We think it was " mouthed" by a large Blank sea bass and by the size of the mouth print on the fish it may have been 700 pounds or more, the 30 pound green Ande line did not give an inch. I've got the picture to proove it.
