Description: Armalite Costa Mesa AR-180 .223 Rem. This most desireable of AR-180s hardly shows its age. There is minor finish wear on the exterior, especially the left reaf sight guard. The bore is bright with good rifling. This gun has the bayonet lug and takes the M-16 bayonet, (not included). It is the Gas Piston descendent of the AR-15, the product impoved brainchild of Eugene Stoner designed do away with all the problems of its predecessor. The stock folds properly to the left side, not to the right like so many of the new wave of ARs. With only a minor modification, M-16 magazines will work in either gun. This provides an inexpensive source of magazines from 5 rounds to 120 round drums. The directional flash suppressor acts as climb reducing muzzle brake and reduces dust signature from firing. This is the earliest model without the bolt release.
