tear easily

For the price you pay you expect these to last, but they dont. they tear very easily and have poor stitching which comes apart easily within 3 weeks of light use.

New and Improved

This glove by Mechanix was improved in mid 2009 to fix some of the problems they had with previous version. So any reviews that are not from mid-2009 should be disregarded. I bought the new style (as pictured) and it's a GREAT improvement. Working on our ranch in the Eastern Sierra's has really put these gloves through the ringers and they hold up phenomenally well. The leather is now goat skin instead of cow hide and it's more supple than the old glove. It's reinforced in the palm and has lasted ALOT longer than the previous version. Chopping wood, tending the fields, mending barbed wire fences, it's done it all for me and has held up to the task. Way to go Mechanix Wear, you've created a durable glove once again.

Poor Finger Construction

The Gloves did not hold up as well as I had hoped, the fingers got holes in them quickly,and as a surveyor, and using my fingers to adjust instruments these were a disappointment.
