Duty Boots
Date:
This is my 2nd pair of Acadia's, 4th set of Danner's. I have to say you get what you pay for. These boots last. I have worn the first pair for six years now, in rotation, till there is no rubber tread left on the sole and the uppers are still waterproof. I am just retireing them due to the leather is so beat up they no longer are able suitable for uniform wear. The other Danner's I wear are the Telson(a little tighter fit in the toes but a lighter boot, the heel cup really locks you ankle together for support) and the Striker(might as well be putting on sneakers-they are great). Like I said buy good boots, you will love them.
I am in boots from 7AM-til 8PM as a career firefighter. In and out of the boots for call where my fire gear is needed and have never had a liner pull out, and had to stomp through all sort of terrian with brush fires. I even wear these to set up for deers season. Clean them up and keep the leather conditioned they will last.

14 Years and still going strong
Date:
I bought my first pair of Danner Acadia boots when I was in the Marine Corps in 1995. I put 3 years of military service into them and have put hundreds of trail miles backpacking in them in the Colorado Rockies, Sierra Nevadas, Adirondacks and the Chugack Range in AK as well as use big game hunting. I have re-souled them 3 times, for between $35 and $40, and they keep on going. These boots were water proof for at least the first 10 years that I had them. Danner is still my brand and I have added 3 more pairs now and can't say enough good about them.
