I am on my forth pair of these boots. I am a forester and wear them everyday at work. I generally get 2 to 3 years out of a pair even with all the abuse they go through. I work in East Texas, but the insulated boots are not too hot during the summer. They do a great job keeping my feet dry, and only start to leak after a couple years. The size is always the same as my running shoes.
As always another top quality item from cabelas . These boots are built very well and I am very happy with them. great traction, super ankle support, and my feet have not gotten cold yet . the only thing you want to watch out for is make sure you get the right size dont go to tight , because they are water proof the tounge is attached all the way up and slipping them on could be difficult if you dont get them big enough. I will get more of these boots they are comfortable and very solid . I have them on from six a.m. till ten p.m. every single day and have had no problems with my feet or back .
Felt great from the first time I put them on. I am using them for hiking when I hunt and horseback riding. A good price for a comfortable all around boot.
I looked at many boots in this price range and thought I would give the Cabel's brand a try. After reading the reviews, I chose the logger with 400 grams of Thinsulate insulation and a Gore-Tex waterproof membrane.
The boots are sturdy and well constructed, though the tongue is sewn very high making the opening small and a bit tricky to get your foot in. That being said, once my foot was inside it was cradled and very secure.
They are going to take some breaking in, but that doesn't bother me because that means that they will last a long time, I hope! They were pricey but not out of line for a quality boot of this class. Time will tell.
