I have had this hat now for about 3 years and wear it very little if at all(none this year). I bought this hat for deer hunting from a tree stand in cold weather hoping that I could use it in place of my normal system of full face mask worn under an insulated hat with a brim. It has turned out to be a very poor compromise. The hat is sized way too small, the face mask is not long enough to allow you to cover your nose and neck at the same time. I read the reviews before buying and only bought because it was reduced in price and I could buy the largest size. The face mask itself is too tight, especially across the nose and a bit itchy for me when worn for several hours. The hat is unusable when worn with the face mask rolled up as shown because it makes the hat way too tight on your head. If you like wearing it with most of your face uncovered which allows you to cover your neck then it works ok but this is the only way the hat is anywhere near comfortable. I will stick with my proven system of the polypropylene ECWS face mask under and insulated hat. CABELAS, PLEASE BRING BACK THE GORETEX, 200 GRAM THINSULATE FLEECE RADAR STYLE HAT YOU SOLD FOR YEARS. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST SYSTEM HAT FOR WEARING OVER A FULL FACE MASK SINCE IT EASILY STRETCHES OVER MOST FACE MASKS AND IS VERY COMFORTABLE . PRICE IS NOT REALLY AN ISSUE FOR EQUIPMENT OF THIS TYPE.

THANK GOODNESS I READ THE REVIEWS. MY NORMALLY HAT SIZE IS 7 1/4 WHICH IS CONSIDERED LARGE SO I ORDERED XLARGE AND ITS TOO TIGHT TO BE COMFORTABLE. I'LL JUST EAT IT, AS ITS NOT WORTH THE COST OF SHIPPING BACK.

This is a great hat... I've had another for a few years and have order another for myself and friends... both in camo and orange.
I think I'm set for awhile ... more so looks to be a close out so in case I loose one I'm good.
These in stock seem to be running very small in size so order way bigger ... they will stretch some from use but not much.

This cap runs VERY small. I ordered an XL and it is a very snug fit. Definitely order a larger size than you think you'll need. I'd exchange it for a 2XL if there was such a thing. Second, the mask/beanie is very awkward. You can keep it up on top and be able to pull it down over your ears, or you can have it pulled down over your face and neck, but it is difficult to switch back and forth if you want to. I mostly blame this on how tight it fits. I'm hoping it will stretch and loosen up after more use. If not for these issues, it would be great.
