TIMEX® Adventure Tech Digital Compass Watch

The Adventure Tech Series is made to keep up with your active lifestyle, this watch in Timex's AT series features the Indiglo® night-light display option, a water-resistant brown leather strap and the latest, most durable components. With the AT Digital Compass, take all the chronometer, watch and durability features of the AT Chrono Alarm Timer and add in a digital compass based on 16 cardinal points measured in degrees. Display even has a virtual compass needle and leveling bubble for enhanced accuracy. Night-Mode® feature makes night reading easy.

I purchased this watch as a gift for my boss. He's a surveyor and loved it! Made me a star in the company. I just asked him how it was holding up, and he said the band was starting to wear, but it's been his most favorite watch.

Crystal and bug spray

I love the watch and what it does however, the first time out in the woods; I sprayed bug spray on myself and got the spray on the face of the watch. That night when I came in I noticed the face of the watch was foggy. I licked the face of the watch to wet it and tasted the bug spray (after rising my mouth out) I attempted to wash off the face of the watch with water. The spray has permentantly ruined the face of the watch. It looks like I used glue cleaner on the face of it. I didn't take it back because they would have just given me another one - so my new watch looks like it is 3 years old. Don't spray any type of spray on the face of the watch - I am sure the alcohol will ruin it - you get what you pay for.

Nice watch. Easy to use and calibrate. Kids love it. Both my boys are scouts and this kills many birds with one stone.
