Our legendary X4 technology makes any weather walking weather, and if your job keeps you on your feet all day, these shoes are what you’ve been hoping for. Spend a day in the X4 Adventure II, and by the time it’s over you’ll discover your feet feel great and still have energy for an evening of activity. These shoes mock water with waterproof premium leather uppers and a waterproof, breathable layer of Dry-Plus® that lets perspiration escape while it blocks external moisture from entering. Our polyurethane footbed anatomically follows foot contours and offers all-day comfort and support. The heart of the X4 system is an EVA anatomically-molded foot frame bolstered by X4 foam in the heel and forefoot. This results in superb shock absorption during the heel-strike phase of the stride and rebound energy as you roll off the forefoot into the next step. In addition, an X4 midfoot bridge enhances stability and support in the middle-foot area and arch to reduce foot stress and fatigue. Underneath is Cabela’s multitrack nonmarking rubber outsole that we engineered to provide exceptional traction on a wide range of surfaces. Together, the waterproof materials team with our performance- and comfort-enhancing X4 technology features to deliver a walking shoe that is unsurpassed by anything in its class. Imported.

Just as good as Goretex

I was a bit skeptical about the Dryplus but found it to be as good as Goretex .The shoes were comfortable right from the first time I wore them and they just keep getting better until I just forgot about wearing them( yes they're that good) and now anytime I wear something else I notice it right away and find myself wanting to get back into my X4's .As for these shoes getting a bit on the warm side in hot weather 'they do' and thats why I only buy footware with Goretex or Dryplus,my feet may get a tad hot but I have never had wet sweaty feet wearing these shoes. I will be buying a second pair .

Solid and unbelievably comfortable

These shoes are extremely solid. I have narrow feet with high arches and the B width fits perfectly. Super comfortable and they feel as solid as a good hiking boot. I sealed them with silicone conditioner, they are darker but they still look beautiful. Extremely well made.

These shoes were comfortable from day one. No break in required. Wearing them everyday this winter. I'm dry and warm. I'm ordering more so I have them when these wear out.

A few years ago I bought a pair of these shoes.They have held up very well. In fact these are the first shoes I can remember having that I havent blown the sides out of!! My foot is a full 4 1/2 inches wide. Finding footware wide enough has always been an issue. Cabela's has THE BEST selection of quality shoe's & boots. At a reasonable price, in EEEE, I have ever seen. Every time I've ordered shoes or boots from Cabela's. The 9 1/2 EEEE has fit perfectly. Until now, I have returned these shoes & am waiting on there replacements to show up. I'm hoping that maybe they were miss labeled when they were made. I say that because I had ordered the Olive color. If these were Olive that was the brownest Olive color I've ever seen! Then when I put them on. My foot immediately started going numb. I matched the soles together using one old & one new shoe. The new shoe was 1/2 inch narrower then the old!! I have always had good luck with Cabela's Return or Exchange policy. So with any luck I will be able to write the conclusion to this review in the near future........To Be Continued
