Synthetic leather and Airmesh™ uppers have a durable water-repellent finish for water-resistance. Internal support construction secures the midfoot for optimal fit and support. Flexible plates protect the forefeet from stones and other debris. Nonremovable microfiber footbeds with Aegis® antimicrobial technology resist odors. Cushioned 4mm compression-molded EVA midsoles. I am female. I need a wider shoe for foot problems. These are the best shoe for working on your feet and walking! Believe me, I have tried many shoes for a day without foot pain, and this shoe is the best! Merrill, please do not change a thing on this shoe!!!

best shoe for the ultralight people

not waterproof but drains very quick and doesn't hold water. supper flexible sole and tough as nails Vibrum material. my calves and feet muscles/tendons took a little time getting use to at first. no support so you use muscles you usually don't use with regular sneakers or walkers. once your feet get use to them your golden. took me about 2 weeks wearing them everyday. now they are my go to spring through fall outdoor shoe. i use waterproof socks or thick wool when around water. very light shoe and a joy to run in. i love them for early hunting season too. Merrell stuff is always solid.
