I bought them last year, but finally try it last week in duck hunting in Danube River near mi born town Kozloduy (Bulgaria). The weather was disappointing cool and snowy with stormy wind. All day I hunted in water - dry and confortable. I would like to recommend it. Don\u2019t waste your money for chipper and unproved waders!
I purchased the 1600 waist high waders (size 10 boot) for hunting the cold Montana winters. I don't like chest waders as I tend to overheat around the chest with a jacket or sweater on.
I'm 5'9" and weigh 210lbs. I have a 38" waist. The waist of the waders fit me just right as did the inseam. If I were any taller the inseam would be too short. If I was 170lbs the waist would be too large.
These waders have no pockets and no way to attach suspenders.
I wore the waders today in 16 degree weather while jump shooting ducks. I had on a pair of mid-weight polypropylene bottoms under the waders. While crossing a knee deep river with 35 degree water I stayed warm and dry, especially my feet. However, while walking my legs began to build up heat and began to sweat. I also noticed that the waders were a little tight around the thighs.
I think these waders will work great while sitting in a duck blind with minimal physical activity. I would like to see suspender buttons added on the inside of the waist band.
I've worn these wader for 6 yrs. They're very warm and are tough enough to take the toughest marshes. The redesigned suspenders are a needed improvement. You can't beat them for the money.
