Just What I Needed!
Date:
I fish a tough river that has rocks and boulders of every size and dimension. It has been compared to walking on greased canon balls! I needed a tough boot that would stand up to the demands of this river and this boot does! I put the studs in and this boot really grips! I highly recommend these! I had a pair of less expensive wader boots but didn't hold up. You get what you pay for and these work for me!

Best boot in years!
Date:
When it comes to wading boots I am as picky as they come. I have tried four different boots in the last two years and the only ones I have been truly happy with is the rivershed boot. As for the streamtread soles, I feel they have about 70% as much grip as felt but it is a different feel that you will have to get used to. If you are fishing on one of those slicker than snot streams, you really should get the studs or star cleats. putting them on and taking them off is a real breeze. The speed lacing actual works and they lace up easily. As for sizing, I wear a 11.5 and have a size 12 with a perfect fit. I think you could get away with a true to your size but it might be just a little snug.
If these were Simms most expensive boots, it would be justified. Glad they are not!

Expensive but you get what you pay for.
Date:
Yes these seems expensive compared to others but I have fished for 40 years and these boots are very supportive and stick to the bottom far better than I thought they would . I have always used felt but these Vibram soles work just as well in the water and much better on the bank.
I wear an 11 1/2 street shoe and ordered a 12 in this boot which fits fine. Very well built boot.
