Great Boot

After years of buing cheeper boots with rubber or vibram soles and using studs, I will never go back. The felts are amazing, I bought the studs but haven't put them on yet. This is the greatest boot I have ever worn, I'm an 11 1/2 and bought the size 12. I'm using thick wool socks and the fit was snug, but confortable while wearing then around the house for an hour. After standing in the river for 3 hours the morning, my feet felt great. They actually loosened up a bit in the water. I tried on the size13 at a local store, but they were huge and my foot rolled around in them. I brought in my waders and socks to test the fit.
I am so happy with these boots, the grip you get when using felt soles are amazing. I like the heavy construction and the secure feeling they gave me this morning. It was like being reborn. They may be more money but well worth it. I felt safe and very secure while walking up/ down the river botton and did not fear twisting an ankle in them. I also waded further than normal and in faster water without worry.
I talked to several Simms Reps and their customer service prior to buying these. I like the leather and from what I have gathered, they should conform to my foot slightly and will last a very long time with some basic, yet simple care. They dried quickly on the boot dryer. Buy these, you wont be sorry.
