Cabela's Guidewear Pro Vibram® Wading Boots

  • Aggressive, easy-to-clean Vibram IdroGrip soles
  • Extra-deep treads grip rocks and mud
  • Durable mesh/nubuck leather uppers
We've created these amazingly durable, yet lightweight wading boots from the ground up, giving them aggressive, easy-to-clean Vibram soles for versatility. Super-aggressive extra-deep treads grip rocks and mud along the river's edge without weighing you down. The Vibram IdroGrip™ compound in the Cabela's-exclusive Stone Fly outsoles makes them easier to clean than felt, an important step in controlling the carry of invasive species. Durable mesh/nubuck leather uppers stand up to abrasion from sharp, riverbed rocks. Reinforced rubber toes and heel counters hold up to abuse. Imported.
Men's whole sizes: 8-14.
Color: Stone.

Great boots
Date:
Was a little worried about slipping on moss covered rocks, but these performed great and were very comfortable. Takes a few days to dry. Would highly recommend.

X-tremely Satisfied with my GPVs
Date:
Bought a pair in Nov 2010 after blowing out my last pair of wading boots which lasted 3-4 months. These GPVs have been with me through thick and thin. So far, the plastic molding on the sides are cracking where you bend your feet and the side threading is starting to come loose, but they still have some more life in them.

Okay for the price
Date:
I bought these in 12/09 and fished them hard, almost every day. I also did alot of hiking with them at the neversink unique area and they've held up pretty good.
The grip is good on most types of stream beds. But on some slick rivers they do seem so slip quite a bit.
One major downfall is that the stiching didnt hold up so great in a few areas .
All in all, for the money you really cant go wrong.

Great Boots
Date:
I bought these boots to replace another brand that fell apart. My last pair were felt bottomed, and I was unsure of rubber bottomed boots.
I have used these 6 times already and love them. Much more ankle support and a firmer sole. I cannot feel the smaller rocks like I did with my old boots. Also very happy with the traction of rubber bottoms, no slipping at all. I fish the Farmington River in CT which is mostly a small boulder bottom. I haven't been on slick flat rock yet so I'm not sure how these will grab.
So far I am very satisfied with these boots and recommend them to anyone looking for a good boot at a great price.
