    Difficult to get on

Does excellent job when you get it on your boot. I recommend ordering next size up if using on winter hiking boots if your close to nest size range.

Better than their standard version by far!
    Date:
I've owned both the Pro and regular versions, and I have to say that the Pro are the superior version. I've used this version two straight winters in Idaho, on my snow boots as well as regular tennis shoes in walking to work every day. The other kind have a tendency to slip off, but the Velcro strap on the Pros keep the grips in place, and I've never had any problems. My coworkers also like these far better than the Stabilicers... I had someone try mine out, and she bought a pair for herself that very day.
I think the only pair I destroyed came from ordering a size too small... though they stretch, there is a finite life, and I actually snapped the support between the heel and ball sections by yanking too hard on one of my pairs. My only warning to you. Other than that, they're GREAT!

    Wait for Design Improvements

This has to be one of the worst products I've ever purchased. I bought them after going through a few pairs of Stabilicers, hoping for better durability. However, within only a few miles of walking the rubber tendons snapped, probably due to abrasion from ice and crusty snow.
I like the concept, but a more durable tendon material and/or larger diameter is needed.
Incidentally, I am not the only one to have these problems. I have discussed my problems with others in Kodiak and the problem is common.

    Avid Hiker

This is the real deal. I used to limit my winter hiking to plowed roads. Then I tried these on a hiking trail in one of our state parks. The trail had a lot of ice and hard packed snow, and was up and down some steep hills. With the Yaktrax, no problem at all! I couldn't believe the traction. Anyone who has to walk in icy conditions should be packing these.
