Not only are these chaps snake proof in the South
Texas brush country, but they are completely cactus proof! I just returned from a hunt in Webb County, Texas. While there I had to walk through some of the thickest, most cactus infested brush that exists anywhere. I could literally walk through prickly pear cactus, and everything else that wants to stab you, without getting a single spine in my legs. These chaps don't even allow the cactus spines, or other thorns, to stick in the material. So, no pulling out the cactus spines later! They are amazing! I recommend them to anyone who is going to hunt in snake country, or cactus and thorn infested brush!

This item is not really what I expected, and very different from snake chaps I have had in the past. And while I have no doubt the fabric is snakeproof, I am waiting to find out whether the nylon webbing straps are going to hold up to the brush. Hunting season will be the test.
