Trekker™ 8" Uninsulated Waterproof Hunting Boots

Lightweight and comfortable, these uninsulated, tough, full-grain leather boots with 900-denier nylon are a great choice for warm-weather hunts and scouting excursions. And because warm weather does not mean dry weather, they sport a waterproof Aqua-Shield® barrier to ward off moisture. Removable, polyurethane insoles ensure that you can cover the miles you need to without exhausting your feet. Padded collars and tongues with moisture-wicking linings provide dry comfort. Steel shanks for lasting support. High-traction bob outsoles grip tough terrain without picking up debris. Imported.

For general, light work in, these boots are a good bargain. 3.5 stars. I've hiked in them in rugged terrain for days at a time and overall they are acceptable. The lower portion of the boot has actually stood up to the abuse my footwear must endure quite well, although the tread is about gone - after one season of hiking.
However, I recommend you use a high quality insole insert, and wear high quality socks. Also, although the lower portion of the boot is waterproof (if the upper gets wet - so will your feet), my feet sweat intensely in them - so the waterproof quality is a moot point - wet feet are wet feet.

These boots are just superb!
Great for the conditions here in NZ, so comfortable too.
Waterproof to a degree, just put a bit of bees wax on them and they're as waterproof as gumboots!
So good, also Cabella's service was just awesome.
Was given a shipping estimate of 2-6 weeks, they were at my doorstep in 7 days. That is just fantastic!

I found these to be very comfortable, and they broke in quickly.They seemed pretty waterproof whilst stepping through creeks and puddles, but when it came to walking through wet grass for long periods they let the water through to my socks.But since giving them a coat of bees wax type waterproofing i have had no problem.I would still but another pair for the comfort and grip and support they give for hunting hill country.Thanks Cabelas.

Great boots and buy

Picked these up for pheasant hunting, comfortable, no break in needed. Waterproof. Not to heavy. Covered about 800 acres on the trip and no blisters. Tread is holding up well, they go out coyote hunting as well.
Would buy these again.
Milo stalks put some wear on the toe but every other brand looked the same at the end of the day.
