Not sure about this boot
Date:
The right boot is cutting into my right ankle leaving a painful bruise. I bought these boots yesterday. I noticed the pressure in the store but it really became a problem after wearing the boots around the house for a bit.
The pressure point is right at the largest speed lace thingee on the inner/left side of the boot pressing on the very front edge of the ankle. The leather strip on the inside of the boot under the lace holes creates a very pronounced ridge. It is easily felt by running your finger along the inside of the boot at this point. It seems the worst where the seam of the fabric of the side of the boot tongue meets the leather strip. The edge of the leather strip appears to have curled up a bit, making the ridge worse.
This ridge is just as pronounced in the left boot, but is not bothering me at all, so my left foot must be a little different.
The pressure is too painful to use the boot, so I suppose I\u2019ll have to return it. Seems like a nice boot otherwise - I also have the 600 gram version and while a little bulky, it functions well.

Great Boot
Date:
These are quickly becoming my favorite boots and I have lots of boots. Great comfort right out of the box. I mink oiled the leather before ever wearing them and It was a sweet and easy break in. The have alread saved my ankles on a NW Washington Bear hunt this year!

Uncomfortable heel
Date:
I tried these boots and found that the ridges inside of the boot in the heel area that are disigned to keep ones heel from lifting up/down are very uncomfortable and make for big blisters. I even had moleskin on since I already felt the heel rubbing and still got a blister throught the moleskin! I have had three pairs of Pronghorn GTX boots and never had a problem. Bad heel design.

THE TOP GUN OF BOOTS
Date:
The best boots I have ever worn in the 50 years of hunting. These boots ( size 14 ) fit from day one. I've had them for 16 months, went Elk Bow hunting last year in Colorado 3 weeks after I purchased the Danner boots, and they definitely pasted the test. I maintain them with boot-soap and they look and feel brand new. I love my boots!!!
