Cabela's Denali™ Hunting Boots with Fit IQ by Meindl
Fit IQ system is like getting a custom-molded boot
DIGAFix lacing system
Strategically placed padding in heel and collar
Waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX
The revolutionary Fit IQ system makes this the best-fitting boot Cabela’s has ever offered. The Denali utilizes strategically placed memory foam that automatically adjusts to the shape of your foot. This custom fit is further enhanced by the DIGAfix® lacing system that snugs the boot around the instep to lock the heel securely in place. An innovative tongue design adds comfort when flexing the boot and an Air-Active footbed with Fit IQ foam comfortably conforms to the bottom of your foot. Durable full-grain nubuck leather uppers work in conjunction with a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® membrane and a moisture-wicking lining to keep the inside of the boot dry and comfortable. A combination polyurethane and EVA midsole absorbs shock from your steps. Rubber rock rand brushes aside encounters with rocks. Vibram® rubber outsole is designed for ground-grabbing traction and long-lasting wear. A full-length nylon insole board provides stability and support on rocks, or on uneven and loose ground. Made in Germany. Height: 9". Average weight: 3.6 lbs./pair. Men’s sizes: 8-14 D and 9-14 EE widths. Half sizes to 12.
I am on my third pair of them and have been wearing them for several years now. I wear them everyday of the year at work, or play. They are by far the best pair of boots I have ever worn.
I do at least a hunt or two every couple of months in the Arizona deserts or the pines.
The type of hunting that I do requires miles of hiking up and down mountains and canyons that most only look at from the seat of their ATV's.
Not to mention I was also an Airborne Ranger and know all to well what a pair of good boots mean to a man.
The Meindl Denali Hunting boots are by far the best boots a man could own.
I purchased these boots in December 2010 and have used them to hunt chukar and elk in varied conditions. They have proven to be a very quick break in, used them chukar hunting virtually out of the box the first time last winter. Hunted in several inches of snow, and they proved to be dry and warm dispite not being insulated. They are a good sturdy boot for hiking in the steep rocky conditions that Nevada chukar hunting is famous for. Also wore them elk hunting this year in the steep rugged wilderness in Northeast Nevada. They are lightweight and have performed and proven to be the best boot I have ever purchased.
Have used premium boots before, and always had some sort of break-in period, but the flex-heel and padded tongue make these boots instantly comfortable, with plenty of support and killer quality.
I bought these boots in August and wore them every day in the woods until early November. I am a Forester and I have worn plenty of boots but these are the most comfortable ever and seem durable. Better than Danner or any of the other top name brands, in fact not even close. Cabela's you need to get these in an 800 or 1000 gram boot for winter.
