After hunting from my same old turkey vest for about 20 years I broke down and purchased the Gobbler vest from Primos. It truly has so many pockets, I'm still learning where I put everything. All the pockets open with zippers or straps or snaps that make for quiet access. I particularly like the zip down back pouch that allows easy access to a decoy. It is a comfortable weight for hunting in the Texas heat and has a good cushion with a very innovative (magnet) keeper. Overall it is a great vest!
I bought this vest for coyote hunting. The vest has plenty of pockets for calls and extra ammo. The padded seat is a big plus. The only negative to the vest is the magnet which holds the seat up could be stronger. The vest could also double nicely for pheasant hunting with the large game bag.
I have hunted with this vest exactly 12 days .Unbeknownst to me, on the the 11 th day the magnet sewed inside the vest cut the plastic its sewed in and the magnet fell out to the bottom of the vest. Somewhere along the line I probably took the vest off and the magnet fell out and is forever lost. Now the cushioned seat hangs down and its kinda annoying when Im walking through the woods, not to mention its continuesly gets caught on tree sapplings and wild thorn bushes. Whats makes it more aggravating is the fact I paid cash for it and threw the receipt away like a dummy . Now I cant even exchange it.
The many well placed pockets make this very practical. The lack of straps makes it much more comfortable on the shoulders. The only downfall to this vest is the game pouch is not blood proof. It soaks through to your pants.
