The ultimate turkey vest is now better than ever thanks to a wealth of customer suggestions and two years of in-the-field testing and fine-tuning. A redesigned back with strategically placed breathable foam on pressure points maximizes comfort and airflow. Our patented Speed Seat™ technology silently deploys and stows the 3"-thick, tri-layer Memory Tech™ foam seat cushion without having to mess with fasteners. Be sure to adjust the elastic webbing straps before your hunt to ensure optimal functioning of the Speed Seat. A flip-down electronics compartment holds your GPS and has a pouch for extra batteries. The right flip-down pocket has padded spacer foam pockets to safely store two slate calls. Elastic straps secure three strikers. An alligator clip attached to the vest pocket is an ideal place to keep sandpaper or a scouring pad. On the left chest is a diaphragm call pocket with wallet on a lanyard and a quick-access locator call pocket with D-ring lanyard attachment. The Friction Fit™ pocket stores your box call in total silence. On the sides we added a water bottle pocket and a zippered accessory pocket that’s perfect for pruners or a small saw. Three front cargo pockets and two interior mesh pockets add to this vest’s unsurpassed storage options. Full-shouldered design distributes weight evenly and is shorter for easier access to pockets while sitting. Quick-release buckles in front adjust for a custom fit and easy on and off. The shell vest is constructed of quiet 7-oz. cotton/polyester twill that is both lightweight and tough. Extra-large game bag expands to cavernous 9"L x 14"W x 10"H for carrying decoys and a bird. Great Turkey Vest - Best yet

I love this turkey vest. Lots of storage that is easy to get to. It is a light vest as well. The cushion is one of the best I've had yet.

Close But Not Quite

This is very close to being the ultimate turkey hunting vest but it's not quite there. I bought the vest in hopes that this year's 6 week turkey hunting marathon would be even more enjoyable but I was disappointed with the design of the pockets.

Pros:
1. The vest is extrememly comfortable and not overly hot.
2. It is very well made and really is durable.
3. The Speed Seat is fantastic and a breeze to use.
4. The Zipper pulls are a good as everyone says, espeically with gloves.

Cons:
1. The mesh pockets in the slate call compartment are on the small side. I generally run Derby City or Woodhaven pots and both would fit but it was a two handed struggle. For comparison, the design of the Limbhanger slate pocket is 100 times better and much easier to use.
2. The GPS pocket may be useful for some (personally I would like to see a second slate call pocket) but it doesn't need to be on the front of the vest. That real estate should be for calls.
3. Some elastic puches within the slash pockets for organizational purposes would be nice (look at the Ol Tom line of vests and you'll know what I mean).

Overall this is a solid turkey vest but it is not perfect but then again I haven't found a vest that is. Maybe Cabela's R&D team could find a way to combine this vest, the Mossy Oak Limbhanger and the Ol Tom Tim and Motion vests. I think that blend would be the perfect vest.

Great vest! will never buy another brand!!

I purchased a vest and took it turkey hunting with me last week. I HATED IT. everything about it. I came home that weekend (empty handed unfortunately) and immediately went through the process of ordering the Tactical Tat'r 2. I had to go through one of Cabela's retail stores out of state and had the item shipped to me. This vest is awesome. It has enough room for everything you need and is still snug fit. and the seat, is so comfortable and easy to use. I will never purchase another vest! SO AWESOME!

alot of people complain about not having any ammo loops. I agree it is a hassle, but I found that the "mouth call" puch attached to the d loop holds 3" shells like a glove.

I bought this vest for my Grandson....He wore it on opening day of the youth turkey season. As it does often in Spring & Fall, we had some rain...well, this vest soaked up water like a sponge and was wet through and through in short order, along with everything in the multiple pockets, calls, ammo, and all. Very disappointed that there wasn't any water resistance AT ALL...soaked in the water like a bath towel! So, the vest/seat combo looks grreat, and will work well if you never hunt in rain or even get the vest wet walking through a field of tall dewy grass in the morning. For the money, it should be waterproof in the essential areas, including the cusion and the pockets. That said, if you get the cushion wet, you better be wearing rain pants or you'll have a wet keester!
