Nice hat but not H20proof

The hat is a great size for rain with the wide brim, however it is not water proof do to a design error. The cord to adjust the size is on the OUTSIDE of the dome on the top of the brim. The water wicks in the cord and than wicks down the chin cord that soaks the inside of the hat. The rest of the hat looks like it may be waterproof?? I will try to access the adjusting cord from the inside and than seal the two eyelets on the outside. They also are letteing water in. If that seals it up, it will be a great hat

This boonie hat is great. It breathes well, leaving my head nice and cool. The fit isn't too tight, yet I don't even need the chin strap.:)
