Popular with military personnel and law enforcement, these Danner boots are made for battles on many different fronts, from the desert sands to the city streets. The traits that make them so popular – weatherproof protection and breathable, all-day comfort – are also valued by workers who spend long days on their feet. Precipitation has no chance of penetrating the waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® liner. The patented Terra Force™ X lightweight, durable midsole/shank system teams with the outsole for unrivaled heel-to-toe energy transfer. The X-frame also provides traction while reducing weight. The upper is nested into the midsole for external support. A moisture-wicking lining manages the interior to keep your feet dry, even in hot weather. Long-wearing rough-out leather with 1,000-denier nylon upper. Lightweight, aggressive outsole for traction. Imported.

The Better Boot

Danner's Quality on the boot itself is really good. I bought these boots primarilly for hiking, but because of how comfortable and supportive, I now wear them at work, around the house, and have even played sports in them. Yeah, they're that comfortable. They do get dirty fast though, but that's not important to me.

Bought a pair while in Iraq, love them! Right out of the box comfortable, no break in time required. They were the only pair I would wear over there and I wore them on over 600 combat missions. I still wear that pair to work around the house. They don't look pretty anymore so I don't wear that pair in uniform. Dang glad to see Cabela's carry them. They are HARD TO FIND at your local clothing and sales. These boots are better in my opinion than the similar Oakley's and better than any other boot the Army gives you. I literally have boxes of issued boots that have never and never will be worn by me stacked in my closet. I know everyone's foot is different but for my money, there is no better for a desert boot.

Lightweight, versatile Military boot.

Wore this boot over in the desert and I never had to worry about my feet. Super comfortable like wearing a tennis shoe but with a lot more padding and cushion.

leaky boots

theres no doubt these boots are comfortable,probaby the most comfortable boots i have owned,but they leak like a sive.i agree that comfort means alot,but unless you live in the desert do not buy these boots!
