This 11" boot was designed to survive any punishment. Features include a solid steel shank under the arch, 200-gram Thinsulate™ insulation, full GORE-TEX® sock lining makes it waterproof yet breathable. Built with poron- cushioned insole, neoprene midsole, plus EVA midsole for a balance of comfort and support. Kletterlift outsole for exceptional traction. Eyelets and D-ring speed lacing. Airthotic™ footbed included. Made in USA.

The first pair of these boots that I got something came lose behind the gortex lining and and waded up in the hill of the boot. Which would have rubbed blisters on my hill if I would have continued to ware them. I sent them back and got another pair and the sole came lose on them in 2 weeks sent them back for refund. Cabela's. Refund with no problem but will not buy any more of these boots

The only boots I'll ever wear again. If I can't get them issued I'll buy them. Like a good pair of gloves when broken in. I spend very long days on my feet and these things are the best. Worn them in the Arctic -50 temps and my feet stayed warm. I've also used them for hunting and snowmobiling. Nothing I don't like about them. Made in AMERICA!!!

The boots are about a half size small so order 1/2 size larger than you would think. These are the most comfortable and durable boots. The quality is second to none. The break-in period is short and they are like a glove to wear everyday.
Have not tested their waterproof abilities but expect them to perform as all other Danners that I have and that is exceptionally well in any conditions.
Thanks Cabelas for selling an American made product by a great American company.

Simply the Best...

Danner boots are simply the best boots period. I wore my last pair of Ft. Lewis' everyday in law enforcement for 15 years. Of course I sent them to Danner about 6 times to be reconditioned during that time but they came back better than a new pair of most other brands. I only recently bought another pair because I felt like it. From standing in below zero temps to 8 inches of ditch water for extended periods of time, they NEVER failed. Purchasing any other brand of boot is a waste of money.
