Ft. Lewis Boots
Date:
I bought a pair of these boots back in 1997 and I'm still wearing the same pair; however, I am on my 4th set of soles. Very well made and comfortable, but did take a bit to break in. I'm in the military and have worn them everywhere from Saudi in the summer to Alaska in the winter and they work great. Not overly cool in the 100s, nor overly warm in the negative temps. Adjusting socks help, but they are a great all around boot. They have never let me down and if they ever wear out, I WILL buy another pair.

love this boot
Date:
i would never had thought of buying the fort lewis boots because i didn't think they were "hunting" boots, but i got a great deal on them so i did. I am very impressed with these boots which should not surprise me because i have been wearing US made danners for a while and i love them. These boots feel like comfortable shoes and if you get uninsulated are fairly light weight. they only thing i would change is the eyelets, they should have speed lacers, but you can have those installed at the factory for next to nothing. also mine are 11" tall which is taller than any other boots i own and i had to buy all new taller hunting socks, bummer:-)

Instant Quality and Comfort
Date:
I've been searching for the kind of ultra-quality all leather boots made in America that I recall being common twenty years ago. I finally decided to spring for this pair from Danner. As soon as I held them I knew that the quality and craftsmanship met my expectations. But the fit impressed me even more. They are perfectly true to my size and I certainly am impressed. I would recommend these to anyone and the added plus is that Danner has a recrafting department. I expect these to be useful boots for many years to come. A good product, made in America, and worth every penny.

survivors, even after being abused
Date:
Wow, what can I say that most sportsman, sportswomen, and on-duty professionals don't already know. If Danner lasts fit your feet, you are guaranteed to have a pleasant day (or weeks) in the field, and/or have solid year round on-duty service. For over 29 years of outdoor public service, and even more enjoying back country outings, I have never found anything superior than the Danner Fort Lewis boot. And trust me, I have tried many brands and clones. Imitations may be less expensive, but they have shortcomings from the "get go" and invariably "leak" long before the first set of soles are worn out. In my experience, you truly get what pay for in footwear. I have truly abused my Danner Fort Lewis boots and they have never let me down. Randy
