Tamed the Beast from the Bench!
    Date:
Great Pad for the bench. It worked great for taming the recoil. I have a 338 RUM and this thing will start to bite at or after about 10-12 shots from the bench and my groups would start to open up.
I shoot 3 inch 12 guage mags. for deer hunting around here but that 338 RUM seems to hit me harder on the bench than the 12 guage does.
I was able to put 20 some rounds through my 338 RUM while on the bench and maintaining 3/4 inch groups while shooting my 300 WIN MAG in between cool downs. A 9 1/2 lb rifle pushing a 250gr bullet at 2900 fps tends to knock you aroud a bit off a bench.
I was able to get the pad to fit well by tightening the chest strap and the other strap I ran down to my belt loop on my pants which kept the pad in place.

    magnum recoil shoulder pad
    Date:
Item is very good at absorbing recoil and allowing extended shooting sessions at the bench. The adjustments that it has work well. There is no adjustment for fitting the shoulder. While the item fit me fairly well, it was way too large (and loose) for my wife. She had trouble keeping the pad on her shoulder.
If there were a shoulder size adjustment, I would rate the item a five.

    Solution to a bruising problem
    Date:
I ordered, received. and recently used the PAST 1" thick pad when I sighted in my Burris Scout scoped Winchester 94 levergun in .450 Marlin. After 12 rounds, my shoulder would normally be bruised and painful for days. With the PAST pad, there was absolutely no discomfort and certainly no bruising. My 100yd group improved significantly since recoil was no longer a painful experience that undoubtedly caused flinching. Great product!

    It's a real limbsaver.......
    Date:
Currently, I am doing alot of practicing with a FNH-SLP 12 ga. using full power slugs. This thing beats me up like nothing I've shot before, and I've shot elephant rifles before. I love the shotgun, but hate the recoil. Anyway, I bought this Past Recoil Shield and found it to be excellent! It was a little hard getting used to the thing hanging off my shoulder at first, but once you get comfortable with it, it really pays big dividends. Instead of shooting 5-10 shots per visit at my gun range, I can shoot 20-25 or more shots without any pain the next day. Now I'm really getting that shotgun "dialed in" and learning it's trajectory and limitations.
