What can I say except Perfect!
Date:
Extremely well made vest for clays. Lots of pockets. There is a reason this vest comes so highly recommended, it's quality and class that's hard to beat.
The sizing was right on for me. I'm 5'9" 200 lbs and a little heavy. the XL which I norrmally wear was a perfect fit and a little flattering in the Gun Metal Blue I might add :-)
As I shoot in Canada the wieght is perfect and has a full mesh back so even warmer days in the Rocky Mountains won't be an issue.
This vest is extremly well made and the leather trim and shoulder patch is very supple, I don't use a pad so the pocket location is not an issue for me but appears to be in the correct location.

Returned L for M - Great Vest
Date:
I haven't shot with it yet. However, I like the quality for the price. Seems Cabelas has been putting this on/off sale for some time now.
I purchase a LARGE on sale and subsequently returned for MEDIUM. I guess that's my main reason for posting a review, which is to say that if you're of medium build like me (but wear most "normal clothes" in L) there's a good chance you'll want this vest in M. I'm 5'10", 170 lb, 34 waist, and my suit jacket size is a 42R.
I received it today and the M vest is just right. It's not too snug by any means, but most clays shooters will advise on a vest that fits slightly snug - basically this is just right. Will be fine over a sweathsirt in the cool weather and over a tee in the summer (though this will likely be very hot based on color).
I wanted to share in case others like me were on the fence between L&M. Cheers. Oh and thumbs up to Cabelas for a seamless return. No hassles.

Best I've ever owned
Date:
I have been shooting Skeet and Trap for over 30 years and this is the best vest I have ever owned and I've had a few, some costing twice the price. The only flaw I can find is that the inside pocket that holds the recoil pad sit's too low, it should be raised about two inches. Other than that it;s great vest.

Nice vest for the price
Date:
I've had this vest for a few months so i could give a fair review on it. It's a very well made vest. With that said it's also a bit heavier than some others. The spare shell pockets hold the shells even while bending over, the empties pouch on the back is smallish but will hold 50 shells. Sizing is pretty close and nothing on the vest seems to snag any of the guns i use. The only real downfall is there isn't alot of mesh on it witch makes it hotter in the sun than my Browning.
