I debated for a while about spending this much money on camo. I will list the determining factors that pushed me over the edge.
FEATURES. This jacket and pant set has all of them. There are tons of pockets, and clips in all the right places. Someone spent a lot of time with all of the little extras. It also has connectors so that you can clip in the Tree Spider safety harness and run the cable out of the back for added comfort. There is a zip out wool liner that makes it more versatile. I am very impressed with the details. Not to mention the carbon technology helps you control your scent.
QUALITY. Just by trying this stuff on you can tell how well made it is. It is heavy, but in a good way. It is built very tough, and seems like it will last a long time.
WARMTH. I haven't had any super cold hunts (in the teens) just yet, but I have tested it. This weekend was 27 one morning and 39 degrees and windy the next. On both days this set kept me warm. In fact, even at 39 degrees with a good wind I stayed pretty toasty. With the liner in it kept me warmer than my old bulky camo. I also like that the liner zips out so that it can be used for warmer weather hunts.
My only complaint, and I knew this when I purchased the item, is that it isn't 100% waterproof. The Durable Water Resistance is nice in light rain, but you will get wet in a soaking rain.
Overall I am very impressed. This is an awesome set (I purchased the jacket and pants). I wouldn't buy it on the warmth factor alone, because I am sure there is cheaper camo that will keep you just as warm. But, if you are looking for something that will last you the next ten years and is well designed this is it! All of the features outweigh any shortcomings. I definitely recommend this camo!
The pros of this jacket are its warmth and quietness. Unfortunately it is very heavy and I found it to be very uncomfortable to wear in a treestand. The collar zippers up to the left of your face and was tight around my neck. If I unzippered it a little, the collar stood up to the right of my face right where I would draw an arrow. It is also not waterproof. I just don't think it is worth the money but that is my opinion.
