Sperry Santa Cruz 2-Strap Sandal

Sperry footwear has long been identified as some of the finest boat and dock shoes available. So it only stands to reason that Sperry's Santa Cruz Two-Strap Sandals would have all the performance-enhancing features that have made the rest of its lineup a mainstay in the marine world. A contoured, molded EVA footbed combines with a triple-layer EVA midsole for superior underfoot support and all-day comfort. The full-grain, oil-tanned leather uppers are lined with neoprene for a snug, soothing fit. The non-marking rubber outsole is outfitted with a quadro-grip wave siping for secure traction in both wet and dry weather. Imported.

nice sandal, no half sizes

Need to be careful of sizing. Tried on a size 8 and 9 at the store. 9 seemed too big and 8 felt just about right. Bought the 8's, went to wear about a month later and they are too small. They will fit, but the ankle and foot velcro straps are adjusted to be as loose as possible, so there isn't much velcro to grab. I like that the sole isn't make with cloth (which seems common among most other sandals), so it shouldn't wear through or collect moisture to create odor issues. Don't know about comfort yet, as I need to exchange for the right size.

Very Comfortable Sandles

I have had a pair of Sperry sandals similar to these for several years. They are super comfortable, even on long walks. The biggest difference is that my old pair had a felt type padding under foot, while these have rubber. The felt was a little more comfortable, but it absorbs sweat and created an odor problem. That problem does not exist with these sandals, which is why I bought another pair.
The main straps on these sandals are a little on the short side. I have a high instep, and the velcro strap only grabs about 1". So far they stay fastened just fine, but in my opinion the manufacturer really should add an inch to the strap.
Overall, I think these are one of the most comfortable sandals on the market, and the quality seems very good.

A Father's Day gift for my husband...his usual shoe size...but shoe is about a 1/2 size too short. Now we have to return them and hope they are still in stock :( Thought he would wear them in June & July...oh, well guess we will have to dig out the old ones.

After wearing these 20 +/- times they came apart at the seam between the insole and soles. Shame, they were very comfortable.
