Wolverine 6" Plainsman Steel-Toe Work Boots

Made of top-quality Horween leather and built with heavy-duty Goodyear® welt construction, you know these boots are made to last. For all-day, work-site comfort, the boots are unlined, making them ideal for hotter weather. They also feature comfortable midsoles made of genuine leather and shock-absorbing polyurethane footbeds. If that isn’t enough, these boots are outfitted with dual-density polyurethane Vibram® 360° rubber lug outsoles. Designed with maximum performance in mind, the Vibram outsoles maximize foot protection, comfort and provide incredible ground-gripping traction. Plainsman Boots are electrical hazard protected and have earned the ASTM F2413-05 I/75 C/75 EH rating. Made in USA.

Good Boots MADE IN USA

True to size - I wear a 9.5 D and these boots fit well. Steel toe is wide enough that it does not rub on my toes. I work in a manufacturing facility and am on my feet for 10+ hours per day and an usually in no hurry to get them off when I get home. They are a fairly heavy made boot and I had some places rubbing under my ankles that went away as the boots broke in. They have softened up and feel good. The only thing I would improve would be rivets at the seams adjacent to the first lace, I'm old fashioned and good boots used to have a rivet to reinforce the stiching but I don't think it will cause any issues. MADE IN USA IS THE MAIN REASON I BOUGHT THESE AND I DON'T REGRET SPENDING THE EXTRA $$

Great Boots

Normally I do not purchase boots online, but when I received these I was very very happy. After being a Redwing fan for several years (my last ones had the steel showing in 8 months of use everyday) I tried something new. I found the Wolverine boots to be 1/2 size larger than what I wore in Redwings, and found them to be about 2 inches taller. The 6 inch Wolverine were as tall as my 8 inch Redwings. From a comfort standpoint these are awesome, no additional insoles required. I wonder how easily mud will clean from the sole, and how well mink oil will help soften the leather up.
Great boots, no regrets here.
