Best work boots I have ever worn
Date:
I work in a warehouse and am on concrete 8 hours a day. I have worn boots from two other well respected brands. The comfort factor for these Danner boots far exceed these other brands, in fact I have worn them from early morning until late evening with no fatigue. I had to wear gel insoles in all of my previous boots. So far the Danner insole is very comfortable. Ankle support is very good with the lace to toe lacing. These boots are a little over built for my specific job but I bought them knowing this would be the case. The trade off for the extra weight is incredible comfort and ankle support. I have tested the Gore-Tex lining inadvertantly and have had no leaks. The only thing I would change in these boots is to add some kind of toe cap protector. The leather on the steel toe scuffs up very quickly. I added a paint on protective cap and solved this problem. Overall a tremendous, very comfortable, and well built work boot.

Excellent Danner Boots
Date:
Most comfortable boots ever, lightweight and still hold up to 10 hrs days walking on concrete. Used to wear gel inserts in previous boots; not needed with these. Work outdoors in weather 20 below to 100 degree and feet remain dry. Have worn this pair for the last year and they have held up well. Will be ordering another pair this year to alternate daily, as my job covers one pair per year. Keep up the good work Danner!

Almost Perfect
Date:
These have got to be the lightest Safety Toe work boots i have ever worn. They really are as heavy duty as they appear to be all while still remaining comfortable enough to walk in all over the job site all day. The Gore-Tex keeps my feet fairly comfortable and dry despite the extreme differences in weather and temperature. And the Vibram sole is pretty amazing at digging into all the slippery, rugged and hazardous terrain from Slag, Clay, Sand, and Crushed concrete clear to the common Asphalt and Concrete roads/structures. I would say the price is fair for the quality of boot, and my only wish is that the laces were more resilient since the ones supplied will probably only last 3-4 months tops. Despite the fact that they are "Imported", i will likely buy me another set next year.

Good boots for a "carnie"
Date:
I bought these boots about a year ago. I have walked most of the treat off. The soles are tearing in several locations. Some of the leather uppers are tearing and they have been eating laces since day one. With all that said. I have never had a pair of boots last more than a year. I work at a theme park in north Idaho, with the addition of railroad maintenance for our 1915 Steam locomotive; I maintain and inspect flat rides. All the pathways in the park are asphalt so even the vibram soles were no match. Several times, I tested the safety toe, accidentally. To my benefit, they always stood up to the punishment. I think that the final blow to my beloved footwear came from the chlorinated water found in our two water rides. The stitching in these boots, if left untreated for too long, will Frey, break, and disintegrate when exposed to these conditions. RAPIDLY! So in closing; I loved these boots because they were so light weight and comfortable, in hot and cold seasons. My only regret was that i didn't treat the leather with a chemical resistant wax. Rest in pieces my dearest danners... You will be missed.
