The Roughneck Shock Absorbing Work Boots, or S.A.W., are the most comfortable, most durable work boots anywhere. No other boots deliver comparable shock absorption and comfort along with exceptional workhorse durability. A long day working on your feet has never felt as good as it does in a pair of S.A.W.s. We placed incredibly soft, shock-absorbing foam in each midsole at the two impact points where your feet come in direct contact with the ground – the heel and the forefoot. Extra cushioning and support comes from removable polyurethane footbeds. Uppers are made of the finest oil-tanned leather for lasting service. Inside, waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® membranes keep your feet dry and 800-gram Thinsulate™ insulation keeps them warm. The outsoles are oil-resistant rubber and attached using Goodyear® welt construction to facilitate resoling. ASTM C/75 I/75 certified. Imported.

These will keep your feet warm dry and comfortable!!!
I use these boots for everything from laying pavers to climbing trees, digging ditches and hunting. The only thing they could improve on this boot is the toe to make it more abrasion resistant with some kind of coating to protect the leather from wearing through. I have been wearing the same pair of boots now for well over 3 1/2 years and they still fit great and keep my feet warm. The toe area is worn through the leather on both boots yet my feet still stay dry. When I get my next pair I will have the boot tips coated to keep them from wearing through when I am working on brick pavers.
Other then the toe wearing out from brick paver work, The uppers are in great shape and the soals still have quite a bit of life in them. These boots are comfortable on and off pavement. Great cushion on the foot and shin.
Not to heavy for me at all. Its a work boot!

Best work boot I have every bought. I have son's who have trouble finding boots that fit them ( size 14 + 15) I got these for them three years ago and they are still going strong. The tread has held up and so has the leather. Most boots they have worn might last 6 months, and that is stretching it. I have bought them another pair this year for christmas. If you are looking for a boot that is comfortable and will last this is the one.

Keepin your dawgs dry and comfy is hard to do these days with the demands of our 60 and 70 hour work weeks. I own 1 pair of these boots and just ordered another pair. I am on my feet in a steel mill 12 hours a day 7 days a week, trust me when I say these boots are like wearing house shoes compared to other brands. There is no "break in" period the boots come ready to wear. I can't afford for my boots to let me down thats why my co workers and I have chosen this boot , it's tough as nails, comfortable, and it's Gore-Tex which is hard to find in a work boot. Way to go Cabela's on making a working mans work boot!!!

Unfortunately the add in the catalog does not give an estimated weight. As a result, once these were on my feet, I knew immediately they would have to be returned and that is what I did.
