Cabela's E.C.W.C.S. Military Polartec® Power Dry Polar-Weight Crew – Tall

  • Superior wicking action
  • Highly breathable
  • Comfortable next-to-skin
Originally adopted for use by the U.S. military, including the Special Operations Forces, Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (E.C.W.C.S.) Polartec Power Dry is exceptionally effective at wicking moisture away from the skin. Dual-surface system has a tough outer layer for rapid dissipation of sweat that has been drawn away from the skin by the inner layer. This leaves a soft, dry surface next to your skin. And because layering is an essential part of cold-weather protection, the outer fabric is smooth-faced, so other layers slip on easily. Incorporates a high-loft grid channel back for enhanced breathability and superior moisture wicking. Offers even greater compression than conventional fleece for easier packing. Polar Weight delivers incredible warmth with minimal weight. Imported.
Tall sizes: M-2XL.
Color: Black.

Excellent purchase
Date:
I recently purchased these tops and bottoms as a 2nd layer. Couple these with the Cabela's Silk Heavy-Weight as a base layer, and you have the warmest combination of clothing I have found. Bone-dry while high activity, and very warm during stand hunting. Great job cabelas.

Totally satisfied, and worth every penny!
Date:
This is a great line of base layer clothing, probably the best I've ever purchased, actually. Thick, warm, durable, and comfortable. The entire inside of each Polar-Weight garment has a soft "waffle" texture of raised Polartec grids which allow for inner circulation of body heat and moisture release. These are very comfortable to wear. Before I bought these to wear, it seemed that I was always cold. Coupled with Cabelas Outfitters heavyweight socks, I haven;t been cold since. Hiking, shoveling snow, sleeping during a winter power outage, and an inside/outside work environment, I've been cozy and dry throughout. I bought a second pair because I hated not having my first pair available while they were waiting to be laundered. Expensive when compared to others, but as the saying goes, "when you buy quality, you only cry once."

Very Warm!
Date:
I purchased the top and bottoms looking for a warm base layer on those days that are bitterly cold & I wasn't going to be doing much walking while hunting or ice fishing. This definitely is what I was looking for! It is very warm & breathes well while you're on stand, but get a thinner layer if you've got some walking to do as you will heat up very quickly with this!

works very well
Date:
I got these after the cotton type "long underwear" failed misrably and underarmour wasn't much better.. While quite expensive, the ECWCS has performed as I expected. Keeps me warm in the stand for about 3 hours in low-mid 20's without excessive bulk or weight. Only possible negative would be if I have to hike up a hill, I can get to the point of sweating if I don't pace it a bit. Very satisfied with these, I was worried about staying warm enough to hunt late season deer, but these solved the problem. I'll be buying at least one more set.
