GREAT BOOT
Date:
This boot is awesome. Yes I have heard of the separating and in fact it even happened to me and after 8 years of owning them Sorel sent me a Brand New pair when I provided them PICTURES ONLY of the boot separating. Great Customer Service!!!

Same problem-durability
Date:
Just like the other reviewers, these boots cracked and separated between where the leather meets the rubber. My other pair lasted 20 years. These lasted less than 2.

Look good but...
Date:
These boots did fine the first year for easy hikes in the snow and cold. A couple years into it the rubber is cracking and splitting and now has completely separated from the leather. Not at all durable even for light use. They look good but don't buy them unless you are looking for an aggressive tread house slipper.

Conquest boots are not rugged at all
Date:
This is the third year I have worn these boots (not every day). The first winter season was good, and the boots performed well.I use them mostly for snowy days walking the dogs, about 2 miles a day. This year, the boots have developed 1-2" cracks/tears where the boot flexes and meets the leather on each boot. They have never received rough use and only for walking in snow or cold weather..no brush etc. Pretty poor performance in my book.I will email Sorel, but I won't hold my breath for restitution. Thumbs down for durability.Maybe if you don't use them much, they may last longer, but what good is a boot in your closet?
